My name is Leah Claire Batstone and I grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Since I was young, I have always loved writing, performing and letting my creativity fly wildly. I took part in several musicals, and performed in concerts (I love singing, playing drums, and I used to play flute).
In 2011, I went to Europe for five weeks with my best friend and had an amazing time exploring, meeting lovely people and growing up. After returning from the journey, my small hometown of Fall River seemed even smaller than before. Thankfully, I was accepted into Concordia’s Journalism program, so I had the opportunity to start another adventure, this time in Montreal.
I have been living in Montreal since September 2011, and I love this city.
I am currently a staff writer for The Concordian, one of the two student publications on campus, and I volunteer at CUTV. The experiences I’ve had so far in this program have proved that this is what I love to do, and I can’t wait to further my career over the next few years.
Some of my interests are travelling, fitness, wildlife, nature, astronomy, pop culture, current affairs, dive bars, crafts and getting lost.
